Thanks for the input guys. She's due for a major service, I guess I could have them fix the backfire then. But I've been waiting because she's running good. I've been taking care of the oil, air filter and chain. So I'm thinking if it ain't broke don't fix it, right? I met a guy a few weeks ago who has the exact same model. He has 25K miles and has never had the valves adjusted! He said it was running fine, so I'm in no hurry with only 13.5K on mine. Of course the backfiring may send me to the shop sooner. Comments?
