OK, I've got a line on a TBird Sport hub for a mod I want to do but I'm wondering about the marks on the surface? Looks like some kind of scoring. Any ideas how it happened? Will this polish out? How can I stop it happening again.

It almost looks like corrosion under the clear coat.

Have got those same marks on my rear (speedmaster) rim. I'd agree with what Roundy is saying.

I would probably strip the clear coat off of it and polish it up or have it recoated if possible.

Sandman, it will polish out. Strip it first....When you relace the wheels be careful you don't scratch the surface of the hub or rim.....Use painters tape. Ask me how I know .......Angelis
