I went to a Show 'n Shine on Saturday...drove 130 km to get there, It was just a small fledgling show, I think 2nd year for it. Lots of categories...Touring, British, Vintage, Custom, Stock, etc. A number of neat bikes...a 350 Jawa, a 350 Honda Super Hawk, a CB900 fully dressed, an old GT750 Water Buffalo! I had one of those! And a couple of old Indians...a Chief and a Scout...Anyway, guess who won Best British? ...yup...however, I must be honest wit youse guys...the only other British bike entered was a 1942 Norton 500cc side valve single...a war bike....and HE was entered in the vintage category. So my "victory" is bitter sweet...kind of like a boxer winning by default cuz the other fighter doesn't show up...sigh...

David? Did you win a trophy that you can tie to your headstock? Brando could relate!!!

nah, no trophy...a $25 gift certificate. I could tie that on to my front end...or, have somebody steal me a trophy! And that way'd be even MORE authentic!

Congrats on the win! I don't know if I'd have the guts to enter. I'm a little too Monkish about the hidden rust that only I know about!

Congrats on the win. I'll have to scope out some low-competetion shows like that! What are you gonna spend the $25 on? Some HD boots?

Took my little guy to the museum (where the gift cert. was for) and spent most of it on him...I actually won a pair of $200 Rhyno work/ridng boots on the Ride for Sight run a few weeks ago...size 12...I'm a 10 1/2...so I'll sell them and buy a pair that fits...and no! they won't be HD! probably Red Wing or Triumph...
