I bought the sears jack last year around this time. I got it on on sale for $60. If you don't need it right now, wait they usually drop the price during the xmas season.
the straps are long enough to tie your bike, a refidgerator and half the garage. I cut mine after a while.
Definately use the mechanical stops and the straps. I was able to roll the bike around and then when i wanted to work on it I could lock the wheels. They also warn you to keep it as low as possible when you move it around.
