Pictures are in my album. Feel free to email if you're considering doing the same. Overall an easy job with the right tools...took me about 2 hours total from cutting to finish putting the new light on. I still have to dress up the cut edges and remount the directionals.

Interesting cut-out on the fender, stylish. Nice job.

Thanks...I haven't been that nervous about doing something in a while, but after the cut got going it was pretty smooth. I'm having second thoughts about remounting the old directionals. Something more flush with the fender might look better.

Looks good! I like the bobbed look.

here is mine. I didn't really want to do it but getting rear ended kind of made me. I still have to mount the sidemount taillight/license plate braket and finish the wiring the lights. I also want to put on some shorter turn signals.

I can't really tell in the pics, are those your original turn signals?

Nice job Sniper. Now you gotta lower it. Finishes the look. (See my gallery)

Yeah they are the orginal ones. They are to long. WHich wouldn't be a problem but since that part of the fender isn't 100% vertical you can they look crooked.
By the way, I like the way you cut yours....mine was kind of forced on me.

I think a solo seat would nicely match your shorter cut if you don't do much two up riding. Your fender looks good, the seat just overpowers it. I just ordered the black mini stalk turn indicators from Bellacorse here. http://www.bellacorse.com/bcc062-65.htmThey're only $20. Sucks you got rear ended, but guess it's lucky if only your fender got it.

Thought about lowering...how hard a job is it?

Bobbing looks nice. What's your AFSC and unit at Warner Robins as a "USAF Sniper"?

Yea, front and rear are chopped. I wasn't as brave as you to try it myself. I had Detroit Choppers cut them and repaint. They welded mounts for the taillight as well. Lowering is pretty straight forward. Rear is just a shock change, and you can ride like that. Or for the full effect you can use the kit from Progressive for the front. A bit more work is involved but its pretty simple. One note on lowering: You will drag the pipes in the corners. I definately lost some of the supurb handling these bikes have to get the look I wanted.

I like the way your lowering looks, but think I'll stick with stock since I have a tendency to ride it like a standard bonneville. I can't pass up an opportunity to surprise speed racers around here.

Wise choice if you like to play. I got mama talked into letting me look for a used Speed Triple. I need a "leaner" to go with my cruiser.
