With the right backspacing you should be able to get whatever tires you want in there. I mean that thing is just begging for some dubbs

The rear drums need a spacer and I think the guy says they are 1¼" thick.
He spent ages measuring this that and the other for tyre widths but the wings are stoopid thick.
The lip is something like 1½"!!

Wings ... I suppose they're fenders.
Same language but different again, eh?

That's it. It would've been much simpler if I'd have said that to start with wouldn't it? Doh!

Those wheels will look good with the right tires. I'm just thankful you didn't decide on some pimp gold and chrome spoke wheels like the pics at the start of this thread.

Your car deserves the correct Buick Rallye Wheels, with the
appropriate centers. I got the ones for my '67 Skylark
convertible from "Wheel Vintiques"(I think).
The Crager S/S is one of my all time favorites, but I think they
look better on a Chevelle.
I've been a GM guy since the 60's, and would be happy to
offer any advice, or part sources, to you.
Looking forward to meeting you at the NorEast Rally.

I appreciate that Charlie. Also, when I knew I was getting it, I searched the internet and found some good sites.

Stop worrying about whether the tYres will fit. Can't you get a baseball bat over there? You put the wheels on and then if they rub you roll the bat between the fender/lip and the wheel (many times). Make sure you've got a nice wooden bat too. I agree with getting the original look repro's in the 15" just figure what width you need in front and back. 245/60 15's should go in without too much concern with hitting the shocks/springs in the back. Fronts will be more of the 225 variety at a maximum. First things first tho you'll need a nice roll bar set. If the front looks meaty enough then just add the rear and it'll handle "tighter than a ... (you figure that out)"
