My dealer had some LeatherLyke hard bags ordered for a Harley and was willing to make a deal. The mounting holes are the same-270mm on center so I put them on my America. All the factory hardware worked and they were removeable but they felt floppy so I hard mounted them with bolts against an 1/8" alumnium bar. Then I had stainless steel supports made that mount on the bolts of my luggage rack and are riveted to the bags.

The bags are reasonably priced, clean looking and lock. LeatherLyke makes bags for the big Triumph triple but not the America. The Harley bags worked fine and they are rugged. I rubbed against a high curb and the scratches sanded right out. I put ArmorAll on them and they aren't noticeable.
