I removed the front wheel the other day to change the fork oil and when we checked the wheel bearings they did not move freely. Is this a job that could be easily done or is it something you take to the dealer for? I could not find anything in the manual about it, but found something in another motorcycle book I have and it does not look difficult.

Thanks for your help.

See how the bearings feel while turning the wheel when it is installed. (best to have the brake caliper out of the way so the pads can't add any drag) Especially watch for a gritty feel, a wide variation between tight and loose turning, and excess movement when shaking the wheel side to side.
I was much surprized some years ago when someone demo'ed some precision skate wheels and found them to be quite siff when giving them a spin. Chances are hat your bearings are as they should be.
