The last time my grandpa got his license renewed I rode along. He messed up a lot of the sight stuff and I was thinking "this doesn't feel right" as the examiner completed the paperwork. Granted he just poked around the little town we lived in, but he got my adrenaline going a few times. He eventually quit driving on his own accord. I think knowing and choosing when to hang up the keys is a tough one.
