I'm going on a several day ride soon and am looking at some touring luggage. While doing the usual searches and finding everything was overpriced I came across this sissy bar bag that looks the part and at $68.95 is certainly the right price for something I wouldn't be using that often.

Has anyone used any of their products? I don't mind if it's not the greatest bag in the world given the price, as long as it makes the distance & does the job.

I used a soft side cooler as a bag and strapped it down to the seat with bungees. Cross the handles and down to the pegs then 2 small ones from handles to top of rear shock mount 3,500 miles no problem. Cheap too. A piece of rubber or foam underneath keep it from sliding on big hughmungus bumps too (or three since I used too already). Excellent backrest too (or four )

A lady rider at work just told me about Jafrum about two weeks ago. She's been a customer for a few years. She gets just about everything there and has had no complaints. The prices are significantly lower than most. For examples; she bought the same helmet I have for about 25% less. She showed me a jacket that cost her less than $80. I saw nothing wrng with it at all. I'd say they're a safe bet.

Don't overlook the Wal-Mart bags. It goes like this; you're
on a trip, pull into a Wal-Mart and its a quick Levi's, Haynes, and you're back on the road. The old jeans go in your one small bag and toss out the rest. Its a vacation, right?

I like this thinkin.
Pack light but drink full strength when you get there.

Waterproof too.
The dollar stores carry that rubbery stuff in rolls that has little holes all in it. It's used under rugs or things you don't want to slide. (know what stuff I'm talking about?) That is excellent stuff. Put a small piece under the bag and it goes nowhere!

You can also get kayak/canoe dry bags for a good price at Sierra Trading Post. They have several different sizes to fit your needs.

Oh wandering nomads. Yes, roll and use wally world for clothing. However, when in the bible belt you do need storage capacity as booze is not readily available. You have to carry your own.

Remember they are called cigarette papers, not rolling papers...

That does stink right there. Time for a trailer?

My experience with Jafrum wasn't so good.
I ordered a helmet via their Ebay store.
They charged my credit card, but didn't ship.
Inquiries via Email produced bogus responses or none at all.
After about six weeks I got hold of them on the phone and told them to reverse the charge and cancel the order, which they did.
The person I spoke to simply said she didn't know why they never shipped it.
It sounds like at minimum, their internal communication may be lacking.

I also Jafrum. Decent experience, never talked to anybody. I got this sissy bar bag Mert and Benny (I suppose the whole CT crew in Caanan) have seen it. It's expandable and comes with lots of options to strap it down. I like it because I can load it up with more than I need and then rest on it. I need a cruise lever too. The hardware is nothing I'd rely on, but nothing has broken *shrug*
