Same here......never read anything good bout em, but many have said they caused problems. Apparently the taper is not the same as the stock ones. At least one person posted that he put his stock ones back in after having problems. i'd pass if i were you, especially considering that once your bike is dialed in you'll not need to touch them for a long time. I slotted mine, the took a serewdriver bit and pounded a volume knob from an audio dvice onto the end. It's now just about as easy as a thumbwheel would be because it's just like having a thumbwheel ! Only difference is you have to slip it in, but hey.......that just makes it an even more pleasurable experience.
