Actually there have been several leaks from the countershaft sprocket seal. I replaced mine a few years back. I'm curious as to what the redesign might entail. It's easy to remove, but a bit tricky to reinstall without buggering up the seal. I bought a spare at $7, if someone has the new seal, post a pix. Here's a shot of the one I bought:
