The Triumph ones are two seperate parts that attach to the lower engine mounting bolt, and the pair of bolts that mount the lower part of the frame to the upper part. You'd have a hard time finding better or more solid mounting points than these.
There are other bars around for our bikes (notably the ones from bellacorse) that attach to the horn bracket. I wouldn't want to trust that bracket to hold my bike up in a lay-over. My opinion is that these bars are for looks only.
