Seriously Newt, it works great and it can peel off without messing the paint up at all. It just takes a bit longer to dry. Let it skin over about 15 minutes first and it won't slide off as it dries. Just paint a bead about 1" in from the edge all the way around, one circle is plenty.
In the FL heat, maybe a bit longer to dry completely. 24 hours is fine. You can use some tape to hold it if you are worried about it shifting while drying too.
