well!!! sat. mornin woke up about 7:00 (aint that a bee aach?? cant get outa bed on a work day morn and on the wknd you wake up before the alarm and cant go back to sleep, i'd kill to sleep in hahahahaha) checked the wheather report and sure enough, forcast called for no rain till later in the day Woohoo, the wife had to work and all the chores were done soooooo if anybody needs me....i'm out ridein!!!! it has been a very wet summer here, it has been raining everyday when i get home and the only wknd day it hasnt rained lately is the day i had to go to moms (100mi) with tools and supplies. so needless to say, it has been month and1/2 or 2 mo. since i had been for a ride aarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhh i swear i was going into withdrawl symptoms. anyway i step outside and its about 70f...perfect and very rare here this time of yr. its usually around 80 at 8:00 so i get ready and hit the road. headed straight for the county for some uniterupted( no traffic, no lights) rideing. ended up increasing the odometer by about 200mi aahhhhhh was passing thru a little rural town and was at a red light when around the corner comes a guy on what apeared to be a tangerine and white bonni, i whistle, he looks and see's i am on a Triumph and pulls into a parking lot that is right there so i swing around and get to him and its a tangerine and white but its a sweet very clean 66...oh wow, we talked for about 1/2 hr he compliments me on the new and i return the same for the old, he said he had heard of them but this was the first one he seen up close, i tell him about the nearest dealer and he didnt know about them so is gonna stop in there and check the rocket, he has only seen them in the mags. then stopped by the kids and took the 2 oldest grandaughters for a ride (one at a time hahahaha) it was getting kinda later in the day and the heat was really commin on pretty strong so i head for home. on the way i stopped to get some bread and milk and when i pull in i see a red Rocket in the lot, of course i park next to him and wait for him to come out, we had a nice conversation about Triumph and he tells me he will probably own that bike the rest of his life, he likes the way it hadles and he can beat any of his friends anywhere and its not loud like a h.d.hahahahahahaha got the milk and bread and didnt get home untill around 4:30. was in the house about 10min and down came the rain. what a GREAT DAY!!!! it had been to long, and then to run into 2 other Triumphs one old and one new....WOW!!!! it's kinda good that this happens once in awhile, kinda reminds me of just how good this bike is. its funny but when you ride everyday you can forget just how great this bike is, but then after a break and then you get the chance to get back on, it all comes back, as to just how sweet this machine really is. i guess you guys that live in snow country know that feeling that i am talking about better than i do hahahahahahahaha

ENJOY!!!!! NEWT!!!!!

Good for your soul. Sounds like a perfect day. Now get some rain gear and don't let Mother Nature keep you down.
