In the 80's there were 2 levels - the Turbo 3.5 V12's (I think - I was only small)
Remember that well. The Turbo cars were 1600cc Turbos (mostly 4 cylinders, with a few V6's in the mix) the normally aspirtated cars were 3500cc and were unlimited in cylinder configeration.
Incidently. The BMW megatron engine, a 4 cylinder twin turbo 1600cc was dyno tested at over 1200 hp.....WOW!
Damon Hill. Yes another good driver from old blighty. But i never got behind him like Nigel. I think the alure of Nigel Mansell was that he was an ordinary bloke who worked his arse off to get into F1. Not taking anything away from Damon he did become a World Champion, but he came form a very privaledge backgound and had a name that opened a lot of doors for him.
I heart they are trying to get damon to committ to the GP Masters Series. They dont show that over here, which is a real bummer. I would love to watch that.
