While I was waiting for my wife to pick me up, I walked the area where I took my spill, and for the life of me, can't figure out what went wrong. It was old asphalt (actually looks more like concrete.)
I've replayed the accident over and over (at least the parts I remember) and I am still not exactly sure what went wrong. I'd really like to be able to learn more than I have.
What I have learned is this: Always, always wear a helmet. Other than that, I try to wear my leather jacket most of the time, even in 100 degree heat. I always wear it now on the way home (after midnight, it's much cooler.)
I have to figure, unless I was hit by the Mitsubishi, I was at fault. I wish I knew what went wrong, so I don't do it again.
