here in the uk i have a caberge flip front helmet.its quite reasonably priced(£140 cant work it out in $, too mant beers!!!! ). anyway, it has an option to remove the chin piece and have it as an open type, great for hot days(very rare over here),ive noticed that with the chin part on i get a whistling noise over 70mph, with it removed it seems to be quieter. i dont use earplugs, usualy have my mp3 player on!!(not too loud though).if im going on a long journey i tend to use it as a full face helmet mainly for safety reasons.my bike has the summer screen on it, and recently i was useing a loan bike with no screen on, and my helmet didnt have that annoying whistleing noise,so i was wondering if it has somthing to do with turbulance caused by the screen?
