Dealers typically like to get 10-15% over their invoice price. So do the math and maybe they can work something out. Taking 5% off is not unreasonable, unless it is in the prime of the riding season and gas is expensive and demand is haigher than it has ever been....Hmmm. If you only pay MSRP you got a deal these days. And it is nice to have a good relationship with your local dealer. Even a few $$ for this is worth it in my opinion. Unless of course your dealer is a boner, then find another one to deal with.
I paid cash for mine, tried to knock a few bucks off, kept stacking 100 dollar bills on his desk,, the dealer just kept shaking his head until we got to the figure he wanted. Worth a try though.
