Your timing is unfortunate. Dealers are pretty confident that they will sell what they have while the weather is still good. The best time to buy is fall. Anything they have left in the fall has the potential to sit all winter until the spring buyers show up. Sounds like the dealer is in control of this transaction with the limited number of Americas available (or so it seems...) If you really want the bike, buy it! The few hundred that you may save will be forgotten after the first thousand miles are put on. You can always negotiate a deal on accessories and stuff easier than knocking off money on the bike. The markup on that stuff is much higher.
