On the way to pPendleton yesterday I just couldn't help but stop and take this picture. After all it won't happen again for another 100,000 miles.

I have a picture of my odometer at 29000 miles at the top of Banner Pass yesterday. Of course, it's on my crappy cell phone so it may not be readable when I download it to my computer. I watched it pass 27000 on the way to the Kootenay Raid but I didn't stop for a picture. I definitely have to shoot a picture of 30000 in about 650 miles...

Not to start another flame war today, but I've never understood the fascination with taking pics of an odometer. You numerologists sure are a strange bunch.

Has nothing to do with numerology at all. It is just something unique.

I take a pic. of my odometer at the beginning of a long trip. When I get home I can subtract from the current mileage and know how many miles I traveled. I use the trip meter to keep track of when I need to re-fuel.

if life gives you lemons keep them because hey, free lemons.

How many time are you going to see 123456 on your odometer Derek? It's a momentous occasion!

Hey Soren, check this out!

Hey Soren...I've done the same thing many times. Hey you're already out there and I always try to carry my digital camera for whatever comes along. With a 1 gig SD card there's plenty of room for all kinds of trivia!

And yes 789.0 on the odo as well would have been the coolest!

happened twice for me. all you have to do is make it once then trash your bike in a curve then by a new speedo to replace the busted one then do it again. I'm tellin you that you should try it.

That is my wallpaper at the office, and MAN does it get the comments!

It helps me cope with the day until I can get out of there & enjoy the ride home.

I have the "mental" image of my own odometer at that particular moment, but I was doing near 100 mph, and it was about 10 minutes after midnight. East bound I-10, just this side of Columbus, Tx. I tried to get the ton, but between the city limits and the .6 on the odo, just needed a .1 more road to do it in.

THAT image is burned in forever.

I used to. Then it got to be a PITA. Stopping in the middle of the highway and having cars trying to sideswipe ya as you sidestand to get the camera from the saddlebag and such.

The last time I photographed me odo was at Pat's house. Rolled 40K even. Several days ago I rolled 48K even and thought how nice, "How many times have I been HOME when I rolled through zeros?

Hey Beanache,

You wouldnt have trashed your bike into a ditch in Texas if you wouldnt have been letting that scraggly old hitchhiker guy you picked up give you a handjob while you were riding, you faggot!!!!

Oh, how do you like Arizona brother?

Hehehe, when a Harley odometer goes to 543210, does it launch a piston into orbit?

Mine is currently in the 24k range. I have it all figured out, I will zero my trip gauge at 24559.6, and 121.4 miles later both will read 246810 and 1214.
See, I'm not odd after all, just even.
