I had the same thing with my 05 America: Hard right turn and the engine races. The problem is the fool throttle cables aren't long enough. Rather than replace the cables though, I just rerouted them to the right side of the frame and that fixed it. Now, I've got whole bunches and bunches of slack.

If you go this route, you have to disconnect the throttle cables from the carbs, which is somewhat of a bother, especially if you reconnect them backwards.
