I saw a set of footpegs on a Rocket III Classic today that would rival Kuryakyn. The guy told me they came from Triumph. Does anybody know whether they would fit on an America???

DD.. I lost my right front peg last week in a minor accident. I temporarily replaced it with a passenger peg until I can find a new one. Do you have any more info on the pegs you saw? I have a '06 America Chris

Well I did find out that you can order them from Triumph. They are not cheap, $88 a piece They are really well made, nothing like the Kuryakyn's. I still don't know for sure that they will fit our America's

'Ouch' Rocket III footboards Rather a bit dearer than the America/Speedmaster boards but I must admit they look the same

DapperDan, the Rocket III pegs will fit but you need to machine them down quite a bit on each side.

Thanks T"Detroit. They look awesome. Did you machine them down yourself? What did you use?

they are too wide for the America and Speedmaster mounts so you have to machine them down on both sides so they will fit.

I saw a pair on a Rocket III this week. They sure looked like they would fit on a straight swap. Apparently not.
How long did it take you to cut them down, and how did the bench grinder affect the chrome?

it only took maybe 10 mins per peg, and that was taking my time trying to make them nice and even. if you wanted to be a hack about it, i'm sure you could do it in a minute or so ... the part you grind down is bare aluminum not chrome, so it didn't affect the chrome at all.
