We're PO'ing a lot of people in the world, and we are spending a ton of money to do it, money that could be spent on other things. But I don't think that has influenced Bloor in his marketing.
One thing that influenced me to buy my Triumph was that the Brits were standing with us. That was 2003 when we first invaded Iraq. I still think the Brits are good friends and I'm proud to ride a British bike. I like the fact that Truimphs have names like Bonneville and America.
I'd like to see some changes in our policies. I'd like to see the Lebanese and the Iranians and the Syrians riding Americas and Bonnevilles...and Harleys, and Victories and KTMs. I don't think bombs are going to get us there, not totally. I think dialog and negotiation and trade and education will get us there. Sure we need to keep our guard up. We need to strike them back when they strike us. And we need to talk, which we haven't been doing.
