Exxon Mobil's record profits are a result of our (yes OUR - we are included) consumption without regard to price. Simple economics. There is too much demand chasing a limited supply. They are charging what the market will bear. $3.19 last fill up for regular. I looked around and saw three large SUV's that were filling up. Probably in the 12 to 15 MPG range. I cannot blame the oil companies for making money when the population is willing to pay their price. The only thing that worries me is that the rest of the companies out there who have been holding their prices on bread, shoes, whatever are thinking price increases. The overall inflationary effect can be chilling.
