Friday I left to help out a friend that was broke down at Diamond Lake campground in Oregon. After a 380 miles and 9.5 hours I arrived at the campground they were staying at. When I was looking for them I saw what I had thought was a couple of BSA’s, but to my surprise it was not: they where Velocette’s! We took some pictures and talked with the old timers that were riding them for a while. One of them had come down from Canada, the other from Alaska. There was a big meet happening Sunday, but I could not stay that long. I needed to get my friends bike (yeah a Harley Sportster) back home and both of us had be back for work. I will post the pic’s when they get them developed and scanned. What nice bikes and riders. They said there would be between 60-100 bikes there by Sunday (today) and coming from all over Canada and the States. I understood it that all the way from Eastern Canada and the Eastern US. They meet once a year at many different locations in the US and Canada. Made the trip more than worth while and left me with a smile that is still lasting.
