Please everyone be careful out there!!! An aquaintance and co-worker here in my county was in a serious MC accident this morning in Colorado while he was on a trip w/ some friends. He is apparently in very critical condition. I don't know the details of the accident, but its a bummer. He's a good guy and has really gotten into riding the last couple years, always leaves me room to park when he rides - even knowing that I don't get to ride to work very often! So he and his family are in my prayers. The more the better I say. Thanks all Becky

Sorry to hear that. It's something thats in the back of all our minds every minute that we're on the road because even the best and most vigilent riders are at risk. Every time i hear things like this i become that much more aware. It's the only good thing that comes of such a disaster. Hope he does well.

We'll keep him in our prayers here in the ATL as well, I had a guy yesterday on a Kawasaki KZXVBXS, or whatever the heck it was come around me on his back wheel, passed the guy in front of me, and fractionally missed the car coming over the hill head on....he would have never known what hit him....THOSE guys are a majority of the stats...

Just got the word this morning, Kurt did not make it. I don't think he ever recovered consciousness after the accident. I do know his wife flew up on Friday evening to be with him. He didn't wear a helmet unless forced to, his choice. But it sucks when a fellow of the clan is lost in the prime of his life - no matter where the fault lay (and I don't know the specifics of the accident). At least he was doing what he loved when he was taken. Thanks all for your good thoughts! I appreciate it. Becky

its times like this that reminds us all what life is all about,we may love our bikes and being out on the road, but even if its no fault of our own, there is always going to be loved ones we leave behind and it them that we need to think of,thats why we need to treat everyone else on the road as idiots!, we as bikers have to assume all other road users arnt looking out for us, so we have to look out for our selfs. i would like to offer my deepest sypathy to his family.im sure news like this makes us all realise were all at risk, but we musnt let it stop us from doing what we love, life is for living,to the full and to the end!
