Ok so last night I diligently wrote down a list of tools I was going to buy, T30 bit for the ratchet, 10 and 12 mm allen head bits for said ratchet, and potentially a set of ratcheting box ends. Off I went to sears!

Ok got the T30, and got a 12mm allen key, but they didn't have a socket bit, nor did they have ANYTHING 19mm for that front wheel removal that I need to do.

Any good sources? I checked auto parts places too, not sure where to even look for like Mac tools or snap-on. I also passed on the ratcheting box ends for now, because I'm wondering if anyone has used the angle headed ones that have a different size on each side, anyone? seems like you get a better variety of sizes that way. I decided instead to pop for a lift:)

So any good places to look? I'll even look online at this point. Was hoping for more instant gratification, but hey...

At this point I'm in the habit of buying everything in sets with all the sizes available. It seems Triumph makes it a habit of using a number of different types of fasteners and in the oddest sizs they can find. I seem to always be looking for a tool in a size that I don't have. When I did the forks on my Trophy I bought a set of large sockets knowing I'd need one to loosen the fork caps the set included - 19,20,21,22,23,25,27mm surely it would be one of those, nope 24mm!!!
I already have a set of meteric sockets but when I was in Sears two weeks ago they were selling a 10 or 11 piece set for $10. 8mm - 18mm I think, 6 point 3/8ths drive. Couldn't pass that up especially since it included all the sizes in that range.

Let us know if you find that 19mm hex bit.

The ratcheting box end wrenches work well and come in handy for other applications as well. As was said, Triumph sure uses a lot of different type and different size fasteners. That means that certain tools work in some areas and don't in others. I have tools from Sears, Mac, Matco, Snap-On, different auto parts stores, and even Harbor Freight, but I always seem to run into something on my TA where I need a different tool. I did a Google search on a 19mm hex bit and found a site that sells a 1/2" drive socket bit for $12.50 ( I think ).... It's McMaster-Carr. We buy a lot of stuff from them where I work.....

Thanks Grump, might have to order some of that up! I used McMaster Carr a lot in my old job too, hard trying to remember all those places:)

Anyone use Grainger? There is one near me, not sure if it's a catalog only place or can you just walk in?

I know that the Grainger here in Pittsburgh is a walk in
place but I don't know if they deal with the general public
now or not. I used to only be able to shop there because I
had my airline ID but I don't know about now since they are
on the internet.

Grainger in VA and NJ has walk-in service. McMaster-Carr in NJ also has walk-in, but you have to phone in a order first, pick up the next day.
I've also ordered specialty bits from Snap-On

I couldn't find a 19mm allen head for the front wheel. The guy in the shop suggested I use an old bolt (the head of the bolt in the 19mm "hole", grip the shank of the bolt with mole grips). As it turned out I didn't need to - the 12mm side loosened off enough so that I didn't need to touch the 19mm side.

Before buying from Snap-On or Mac, check out the same item at Cornwell Tools
A friend of mine is a service manager at a large GM dealership. He said lately, he's switched to buying Cornwell stuff, same quality (in his opinion) at better prices than Snap-On, MAC or Matco.

So what size bolt has a 19mm head?

I found the 12mm Bit Driver on the snap-on site then called to find out the local truck's phone number. Called him and met him at some shop in town. I bought one but other tool companies are less expensive.
