Dr said regular water was a diuretic, makes it worse (I never knew that...).

?!? Are you sure? I heard that if you are drinjking gatorade, you should water it down because your body will use a lot of water while processing all the sugars in it. Either way, stay hydrated!!!

Water is good, if you're peeing and sweating, it's a good thing. Drink more water. I'm born and raised, and worked outside and lived my entire life in the desert southwest and know what of I speak. Sports drinks are good and useful in moderate quantities; we used to have "salt tablets" to replace electrolytes before sport drinks were around. But water is good. One caveat: Distilled water is bad. It leaches the electrolytes from your system. If it's hot out, and you're hot but you're not sweating, stop whatever you're doing, get in some shade and drink water 'til you have to pee. Then drink a few more quarts (and some gatorade if you have some) before you resume.
