I had the same thing happen to me except (thank god) I wasn't on the bike when it happened. When I woke up in the hospital they said it was one of the worst cases of adult dehydration they had ever seen. Took 6 liters of fluid before they would let me leave. Moral of the story... drink lots of fluids in really hot weather (something with electrolytes in it). Dr said regular water was a diuretic, makes it worse (I never knew that...).
