Short version: if you are taking blood pressure meds, be sure to drink lots of water.
I finally got the test results from blacking out on the bike. Not a stroke like they first thought. Brain scan says everything is normal; that ruled out a seizure, which is what the neurologist thought it was.
So I ask him what could be the cause. He said my blood pressure meds. Blood pressure dropped too low, bang, out like a light.
He said when you are taking blood pressure meds you need to keep yourself hydrated. When your fluid levels get low it can trigger a dizzy spell or, as in my case, a total blackout. He suggested one of those camelback water packs so you don't have to stop the bike to drink.
Good news is, I can get on with the rebuild and back on two wheels again. Maybe the bike will be ready and the foot swelling gone by the time it cools back down to the low 90's...
