I think any of us in here that socialize on our bikes are going to run across Harley riders who give some friendly Eddie Haskell "business". But with the guys I ride with sometimes, it's all in fun. Just last Sunday the guy behind me at the light we're sitting at had his Softail breakdown. I just heard a pop sound, and knew right way it wasn't good because it didn't sound like a backfire. Luckily there was a pickup trick running behind him that blocked traffic until he could get it off the street. Now I couldn't let an opportunity like that go by so I told another guy in our group: "Should have bought a Triumph". It got a laugh like it was supposed to, but I felt bad for the guy whose bike was broke. He was supposed to leave the next day for Sturgis.
I have to give credit to the local Harley dealer. They were on the scene in 15-20 minutes with a trailer, and said they'd do all they could to get it fixed by the next day. And this was on a Sunday. I'd have been SOL if my bike broke down on a Sunday, because the Triumph dealer is closed on Sunday and Monday. Of course another guy pointed that out to me, and I had to agree with him that I'd be screwed if I was going to Sturgis the next day. I haven't heard yet if Jack got his bike fixed, but I hope he did. Jack's a good guy...even if he rides a Harley.
