I started riding in the 60s. Harley and Triumph have always been able to occupy the same space without any real hard feelings. Little jokes once in a while.

Most poker runs I go on are 90% Harley. Have never had a bad time from a Harley rider. Then again on those runs the Harley owners are riders. I think thats the difference. I have seen some Triumphs for sale on this site that have been gargage queens too with the low miles.

Our bikes are unique, if you buy one and don't ride it often then what would you be. hmmmm, poser comes to mind.

If you just want to talk about quality and technology I would suggest you not compare your bike to a Japanese bike. Yours would be 30 year old technology and be laughable to them. Harley is the lower end of the food chain for technology in the Sportster line but other than that Honda was making everything a Triumph is 30 years ago. I didn't buy my bike for the technology, if I did then I would be pretty dumb. I bought the Triumph cause its cool and I love the look. Guess I am a poser without a Harley.

Anyway, I think if you ride something, but you ride it, you are my friend and I won't be sniping at you for what you ride.

I try to aggravate one person a day. Today may be your day.
