I wasn't really referring to the wit of HD ads. Obviously there are other ads that are better written and/or designed. But no one can argue with the success of their marketing. Somehow they've managed to intertwine their brand with the good ol' U.S. of A., Mom and apple pie, and make their traditionally rebel/hoodlum spirit (much of which has been drained from the brand) acceptable in the mainstream. Bloody brilliant. About the only thing I think they did wrong, besides selling their soul, was to grow too fast. They've peaked and now they're scrambling to open new market segments (specifically minority demographics) to overcome market saturation and maintain their current level of sales. Triumph is obviously growing slowly, maybe too slow, but they're not making the same mistake.
