Interestingly enough I don't really have a problem with the motorcycles themselves. Sure they have their problems but what brand doesn't? And I think the company management and marketing is brilliant.

It's the posers who spend their kid's college fund, tap their 401k or mortgage their house because they think they need to "buy cool," like a Harley is the missing piece of their personal "cool puzzle." But then start flipping sh!t to anyone not on a Harley, regardless of how long they've been riding or what. Granted not all Harley riders are like this but a significant percentage are (and I'm not talking about the guys who are just kidding around, like the guys I know - I'm talking about the ones who really believe this stuff and "drink the Kool-Aid").

And now we have people like this who are buying $40k+ pieces of arse-jewelry from companies like Iron Horse and Big Dog. These guys are so superior and aloof that they don't even bother to insult us. This is the truest meaning of the phrase, "Buying a lifestyle." (Just to tie it back in to the title of this thread.) I'd like to see most of these jackholes try and take those bikes out of town. The reason they have to stop at every bar is not to have a drink but to rest their behinds...
