Up to now that has been my experience also. I ride with some dyed-in-the-wool HD guys and some Honda guys as well. They don't really care as to the choice of mount. My place of employment is full of 'superior' types. Perhaps this guys' 'tude had nothing to do with motorcycles at all. A bran muffin in the morning could help.
