Well, as the owner of both an '06 TBA and a '03 H-D Ultra I can share that so far my experience in the S.E. area of Virginia is that if you are a safe rider, neither group (HOG or RAT) really care what you ride.
Will there be comments? Sure - part of the fun. But when its crank-up time, its the ride and fellowship that counts.
