Many, many, many years ago my buddy and I built a go-cart using an old lawnmower engine. We thought we were cool! Maybe got 10mph. Now...Junior Dragsters! I didn't know this existed until a TV news story the other day...interviewing a 10 yr old girl who was bragging about beating an older boy...girls rule/boys drool...running around 45 - 50mph...pretty funny. http://jrdragster.nhra.com/apcm/templates/about.asp?articleid=1004&zoneid=70

Sorry just wanted to quote that bit!!!
Ever get the feeling you wish you were 20 years younger..... There were never opportunities like that for me when I was 10. It's not fair....

BOTH of my daughters have shirts with that on them. They don't take no carp from anyone!
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

I'm not one against giving women an equal opportunity, BUT to me sometimes they get carried away. Now in motor racing there seems to be a more liberal stance on this than other "sports". 30 years ago or more there was Shirley Muldowney drag racing in NHRA.
But then you have events like Michelle Wie entering PGA tournaments under a special exemption. That's different, and not to my liking as they have their own LPGA to play in. If it's about equal opportunity, then why don't they allow men to play in LPGA events?
In some respects women have gotten the upper hand. Danica Patrick, who hasn't done squat in the IRL, gets much publicity and endorsements wherever she goes. Maybe with the Andrettis she'll actually win a race and deserve all the adulation she's getting.
