Even though I bought my bike Maryland it appears I got a California model with a bunch of extra hoses attached to the carbs. Are there any instructiosns for removing the extra Califronia EPA junk?

Had the same situation with a bike I bought in VA, never did understand why it has the CA emissions, evaprotive cannister and such. I did the AI removal with a kit from Brent (seamless procedure, thanks) There are some posts on the CA emissions removal in the archives. I decided to leave it for now, everything works, does not contribute to performance, is not very heavy, and it keeps unburned hydrocarbons out of the atm..... Any reason to remove it? I'm not sure....

Just to get rid of all of those extra hoses. I took it all off tonight. Need to find a cap for the tube that runs between the two carbs and then I can see if I screwed anythng up.

An evaporative cannister certainly won't do any harm to performance. In cars, they're required in all states.
