I spent a summer in Kansas right after high school. I commented to an old cowboy I worked with that the land was really flat. He said, "Yup, you kin see fur three days an' you can't see a thing." One memory I have of Kansas is that you can look down those straight roads and see the next town coming at you from 20 miles away.
