Just curious if anyone has any opinions on the saddlemen seat that Freedom Cycles in Neveda sells. I've seen pics of it and looks like a quality seat. I had my heart set on a corbin, but the significant price increase for a new one is too much for my wallet. Also checked out the Mayer seats, but like the the saddlemen better. Any input would greatly appreciated.

Saddlemen doesn't actually list a seat for our bikes or will they sell one direct. But... they do make them specifically for Freedom Cycles in Reno. To order one you have to order one through Freedom Cycles. My opinion is that they are a good quality seat. I asked them if there was any type of satisfaction guaranntee and their reply was yes. They quoted me a price of $560.00 shipping not included. I thought that was a reasonable price.

Do you have a pic, or a link to a web site with the pic?

I do have a pic of the seat mounted on a TBA, but couldn't upload the file because of size. If anyone wants a pic just pm me with a email address or contact Freeom Cycles and they'll send you one.

just some thoughts.
1) have you actually called to price a corbin seat? the new price seemed crazy when we saw it here - maybe it's a goof!
2) you see the corbin seats on ebay an classifieds here - keep am eye out.
3) the meyer seats have gotten serious praise here. i love my corbin but if i couldn't have that I'd get the rick meyer work done.

Actually all those thoughts have crossed my mind. I did contact Corbin and that is the new price I really like the mayer seats also and did read alot of praise on them also, but it seems to be a long wait for one (I'm not patient). I figured since I got lucky with the saddlemen and should have it in a week or so I'd give it a try. Freedom Cycles had 3 ordered and 2 spoken for(me being #3). Evidently, it must take a while for them to get the saddlemens in also. I figure I be the guinea pig and try on and pass it on to everyone else.

Hey Kerby Sorry to hear you couldn't get the Corbin before the price went up. I have 6900 miles on my America and 4400 of that is on the COrbin. It is a great seat, I think it took about 1,000 miles to break it in. Are you going to try to make the NorEast Rally in upsatate NY? Drop me a PM, haven't heard from you in awhile. Where's my $6 million??

Oops Willy, I didn't answer your other question. No, didn't have to give them anything. So maybe down the road I can get the originals customized.
