Redesigned Tiger new super bike (1050cc or so) Rocket III with smaller tank that could mean room for a proper faring
Can't reveal the source, and the source really wasn't given exact information. Very few people seem to know the exact truth. I will still hold onto the faintest of hopes for a bridge between the America and the R3.

Well Jonesy - You asked for rumors. Rumors you shall have.
Late fall of '06 (as '07 models)- 1. All Bonneville and Bonneville deriviants (includes Thrux., Scramble, Std. Bonnie and T-100, America, and SM will get the larger engine - No more 790. The twin will still be available in 180 Deg. and 270 Deg. configuration. 2. The Speedmaster name will be dropped from the line and renamed Speed Twin. 3. There will be NO NEED for fuel injection on twins until model year 2009, however R&D is well into developement and F.I. will be introduced when ready - Look for mid-'07 to mid-'08 introduction
Spring of '07 1. Speedmaster name reappears on new 'down-sized Rocket III engine displacing 1500 cc. 2. Speedmaster arrives in two variants - Cruiser and Tour Package which will include bags, shield, upper fairing 3. Tour options will include lower fairing and hard bag option 4. Rocket III gets same option package. 5. Scrambler becomes available in Dakar Package, which includes LARGE hard storage boxes (Bags), knobby tyres, extensive tool and safety kits, shield, and larger oil cooler.
Fall of '07 to spring '08 1. America line dropped to achieve better 'international' acceptance. Speed Twin (Former twin SM available in two variants - Cruise and Tour, and will get similar standard and option packages as the R III and new SM triples.
My sources shall remain nameless

RS, After working on the wife's Magna, she has a bad fan motor temperature switch, I realized I could easily make up a small fan/motor assembly for the back of our oil coolers too. How "cool" would that be, eh? I'll do some more research this weekend and see what I can come up with. maybe a new gizmolator for Brent to sell.

Oh, that would be the bomb, if a Buell can have a fan on an aircooled engine, why not us. Good on you! I'd definitely be interested in that extra cooling capacity.

If my beloved (newly purchased) '06 America is dropped from the line up in '07, I will personally fly my butt over to England, make my way to Hinkley and royally stomp someones arse into a mudhole.
On the other hand... if so, I will have a collectors item... hummmmmm
'06 TBA - Black, AI and Snorkel removed, K&N Drop In, Gutted Stock Pipes, 145/42, 2 turns out.

Oh, Jerry - How thoughtless of me. I have rumors of some color schemes, too.
1. The Speedmaster/Speed Twin will get Yellow and Pearl White, Red (Not Mulberry but real solid red) and Pearl White, and All Black, and All Yellow options.
2. The America drops all current Two-Tone combos and gets Goodwood Green and White, or Goodwood Green and Black, solid Mulberry, Solid Blue, and Solid Black
3. When introduced, The new Speedmaster (downsized Rocket)will get Orange/Pearl White, Black and Pearl White, and Solid Black and Solid White options.
By the way - The Speedmaster will get a traditional fuel tank - and will NOT have that Rocket III goiter growing on it's side.
4. The Dakar Scrambler comes only in yellow. The bags are metal rectangles in matching yellow - Very utilitarian, and said to be virtually water-proof and indestructable as "A black box".

An '06 America? Hardly a collector's item. Now an '02 Bonneville America, a one year only, 100th Anniversary bike, now that's a collector's item.

PipeDr, Thanks for getting back to me. Those colors actually sound interesting. I just hope that their striping patterns between the two colors are not like the rocket classic. Two nice colors, but it ends up stone ugly. I sat on the rocket classic yesterday down at Colin's. Extremely comfortable with those pull back handlebars.

Just to fuel the rumour mill - I ordered my America today and was told that there were no more left at Hinckley and the one I bought was the last at that particular dealer - good job I wanted a silver one. I asked if there were any changes due and he said only colours- but he would say that wouldnt he, in case I held back my order.
IT GETS HERE FRIDAY AUGUST 4 ! can't wait !
If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

1000 - 1200cc is as about as big as I'd want in a twin. My dream Rocket would still be a triple, weighing in around 1300-1500cc. For that, I'd consider selling my bike. If you haven't ridden a triple, you're in for a treat. Smoooooth with a wondermous sound.

I wonder why they wait so much later than most of the other bike builders to release the new line? I guess it builds some form of suspense, but what if I like one of the early release Suzukis or Harleys, go out and buy it, and then find out later that I would have preferred a new Triumph? That is huge opportunity for lost sales. As a loyal Trump rider, I'll wait, of course!

I dunno, the only marque that I've seen really discuss their '07 line-up, is H-D/Buell. I've seen one new Kawasaki, and that was a Euro-only model based off of their new 650cc Parallel Twin, and the two new BMWs and their re-done R1200R. Honda is rumored to be going all out for their MY '07 release, but that's all I've heard about.

There's a short blurb up at Raptors & Rockets about the 2007 Bonnevilles saying they all get the 865cc motor. I would imagine the same would be true for the America...if it's still in the lineup.

Dropping the name "America"?! In one word..#@$%^#@!%*! Okay...that's a whole lot o' words. I SAY it's been the PERFECT NAME for these bikes of ours, and if this report is true, I'll be sorry to see it's demise. Dwight

I was in the dealer which is about 2 miles from the factory today, and they were fairly sure that a mid-size cruiser isn't due in the near future. They base this on the fact that their staff see all the prototypes being ridden around Hinckley, and the only new cruiser they've seen looked nowhere near production ready.
Don't take that as gospel, but seeing as we're talking rumours there's another one for you.

Simon,
Pinch of salt time me thinks!
I have heard that those guys are quite often used as guinea pigs for new bikes/clothing/accessories as they are so close to the factory. Therefore they are gonna toe the company line.
This is the same company line that had the tour guide telling me that they weren't building the Scrambler not 10 minutes before one went back into the factory after a test run!

Okay, it's just not right to wet a man's appetite for a Triumph 1500 in the Spring. As I'm like two clicks away from buying the big bore, have it installed, etc. and just as I get it nice and broken in a 1500cc Triumph? Now, do I do the big bore or wait? Will they finally give us a bike in the size which we have demanded? Will it be a nice looking bike like ours or that gawd awful Trophy or adventurer?
Man, I feel like a dropped my paycheck at the Tattletales and am driving home alone!

1. Beginning February 2007 all twin final assembly and distribution will take place in/from Chonburi, Thailand. Thus the reason for the absence of America's at the Hinckly plant. 2. The "America" name will change to: the "Siam"
