Those are hand painted pin stripes, but if you're into the rattle can look I guess the solid black is okay.

All black scientifically proven to be faster. Black absorbs the sun's energy more, more energy = more speed. You have to be able to handle the extra power though.. maybe get a stripy one (stripes, however small, cause turbulence and air-friction, hence acting as a natural brake) as a first bike, then trade up when you feel you're ready..( )

I ride alot. I don't have a car (the missus has an Element), so rain, shine,or South Florida Monsoon, a bike is my only way around, to the tune of about 300 days a year. A buddy of mine is a Harley freak, has owned dozens of 'em, etc. I came into work one day, pouring rain, and he looks at my bike and says," If you rode a Harley like that,sh#t would start falling off of it." You don't have to baby a Triumph. Between the counterbalencers and the 270 degree crank, it doesn't vibrate parts off. The mirrors are the clearest and give the best view of any bike I've ever tried. The biggest problem with Triumphs is when you get to work, you'd rather keep riding than work. Buy the Speedmaster.

My friendly office twat, (you know, the one who insists on walking up and down the office on his mobile telling someone in a loud voice about the conversation he's just had with the CEO) - when he heard about the impending arrival of my Triumph, reckons he's going to buy another, quote "Harley Davis"(sic) - because "what (he) don't know about a harley Davis(sic) ain't worth knowing !".
If you do it today you MIGHT regret it. If you CAN'T do it tomorrow you WILL regret it.

Once again you Brits have somewhat different meanings for words
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Late night surf over to that Harley forum and I recognized a name....turbobroom. Becky also knows her. I made a plaque for TB which we gave to her on a memorial ride for Jeep(her late husband) after dinner at Black Bart's Steakhouse in Flagstaff. One of the most gentle people you'd ever care to meet.

I presume the word in question is Twat. In parts of the UK to 'twat' someone meets giving them a slap. When you call someone a 'twat' that is another matter ! Maybe I should have called him Thrush.......very irritating.....
