I too thought I wanted a HD. Was almost sucked into the hype. Tried on a bunch of them for size and the only one that felt comfortable was an $18K Wide Glide. The Sporties just felt too cramped. I stumbled onto the TBA's, and then found a dealer 20 mi. from home. Hopped on an America and the rest is history. I wouldn't trade this bike for anything.
