Yup, that happens when you retard the timing to allow an engine to run on fuel that has an octane rating that is too low. My Jensen interceptor could barely top 130 mph after I had to retune it when the stopped making 96 octane low lead. On the other hand, it is a real buggar to adjust the timing on these Triumph engines to take some advantage of 90+ octane fuel.
