The lasertec is a direct replacement for the ME33 Laser T, which is the original Speedmaster Fitment. Same tread pattern, just a modified compound. I've had the lasertec on for about 4000 miles and have nothing but good things to say about it. I don't know why Triumph recommended the ME33 over a front ME880, but the combo works so my two cents worth is to stay with it.
