I bought the Kuryakyn switchblades just before the GA Rally. Nice idea. Really a good solution to not putting floor boards on the bike. Just don't think that would look good on my bike. I was having slight rotation problems with them but already saw the solution to that on this board. Anyhow, I'm out on a long ride. Looking for a comfortable leg position. Go to kick out the heel rest, go to kick out the the left heel rest and just one more time before I look down. Yep, dang heel rest is missing. I know it was on at the last gas stop because I had to kick it in as I pulled into the station.
Bought 'em on ebay so I wrote the merchant. He gave a contact at Kuryakyn. I called today and this guy wasn't in, so I just asked for customer disservice. I spoke with a guy named Rob. He made it sound like if I couldn't get satisfaction through the e-merchant than I would have to pay for a new peg. I was getting a bit on the angry side when I got off the phone with him. C'mon, these things aren't even 3 months old and your going to make me pay to replace YOUR defective product. Anyhow, I let the e-merchant know about it and he wrote Kuryakyn an email on my behalf. At least this guy is trying. I'll let ya' know how it goes. If I don't get some reasonable satisfaction from Kuryakyn (i.e. a replacement peg) those POS pegs are coming off the bike and I will get my shiny bits elsewhere.
