I've got a stock America seat on my SM and one of our low rider seats on the Custom America. I think the lower narrower seat, while not nearly as thickly padded, rides much better. Being low in the saddle does change the riding position accordingly, but we feel much more connected with the bike. Sitting down into it, not so much sitting on top of it.
