Yeah, real original - both of them. Do you have a MillyVanilly record laying around somewhere? The Who will not sell out very many venues on their latest, greatest tour. That's why there are so few appearances - they know they're not that good.
I was a Who fan in their heydey. But even then, they were very mediocre. OK, go rent the TOMMY ROCK OPERA video, and you'll see what I mean. Trashing a guitar on stage is an act of rock & roll mediocrity - you don't make good music so put on a show. That's what Garth Brooks does, that's what KISS did. Compare The Who to the Beatles, compare them to Steely Dan, compare them to Black Sabbath, The Who is mediacre, at best. Compare them to The Allman Brothers, Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks, It's A Beautiful Day, Pablo Cruise, and Wet Willy - still, mediocrity. The Who was the worst popular band to ever escape the British Isles.
My question remains - WHY?
