Just checking in. I miss my bike! Abu Dhabi has a HD dealership, but no Triumph dealership that I could find. Looks like I'm missing some prime riding time again this year. Some of the extra cash will be diverted to the bike. I'm hoping the wife will excuse the Sceptres w/1.5' baffles arriving before me near the end of this excursion.

Best Wishes to All, Drive Safe,

Tom

120 is pretty doggone warm. It has been peaking here in Tucson the last few days. Was something like 106 yesterday. 111 in Phoenix.

I think the warmest I have ever experienced here was 117.

I rode to meet my wife for dinner after work yesterday and between the high temp (ambient) and the radiant energy coming up out of the pavement after heating up all day the ride seemed like a blast furnace.

Yeah, but it's a DRY heat.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Spent a year and a half in Las Vegas with Uncle Sam's friendly fighting forces and got used to temps in the 100s.

Well this time of year it isn't so dry. Humidity is up during monsoon season, some days around 50%. Now that doesn't seem like a lot to you in the east, but when you're used to 10-12% humidity, 50% is heavy.

Supposed to be 107 today with 33% humidity. That's hot enough for me.

This weekend its supposed to hit high 90s with 90% humidity, thats the beauty of New England. Hard to cut firewood in this weather. My little brother is stationed in AR and told me this is weather they have most of the year, sounds like fun.

Be safe in the Mid-east, are you staying in Dubyai or off to the sandbox? What service and what unit?

My old girlfriend spent three years their teaching at the American compound 6 grade, she use to send me pictures all I remember seeing were piles of sand and long straight slabs leading out to nowhere.

Stay safe, thanks for your service to your country and there will be plenty of time to ride when you get home.

120 is 120 no matter where you are I spent 13 months in VN and 120 days were commom. I can not remembering one day that I was dry we drank PBR by the case. Aha those where the days.

Hey Tom, now THERE'S a business opportunity: sun, sand, and selling cycles. And we'd all be ordering your "Triumph Abu Dhabi" t-shirts.

Take care, dude

Siggy
